Building on our recent work on analyzing the global sewage samples to explore differences in acquired and latent resistomes, we’ve begun to discuss how the choice of AMR reference database may influence resistomes analyses. In this Monday presentation, I will give a brief update on the latest global sewage study and the ongoing work of PanRes 2, then discuss some of our ideas on how to evaluate current AMR databases systematically. Any suggestions or alternative ideas on how to approach this topic would be greatly appreciated!
